LAMDA TUITION
DDA has a thriving LAMDA timetable and prides itself on providing excellent private tuition to students who would like to take exams. Students are taught by expert LAMDA Tutors under the guidance of LAMDA Examiner Hannah Soulsby-Phillips.
Preparation for exams takes place privately or in twos and exams are taken at the end of each term. DDA has a 100% pass rate at Merit & Distinction and last academic year DDA achieved 100% Distinctions!
DDA offers exams in Acting, Group Acting, Verse & Prose, Musical Theatre, Shakespeare, Public Speaking and Level 4 PCERTLAM.
DDA students are given lessons at a heavily discounted rate.

Acting Exams

LAMDA examinations in Acting use the preparation and performance of dramatic scenes to support the development of self-confidence and communication skills. By portraying other characters, learners can explore a range of different personalities and emotions, which in turn makes them more emotionally aware and empathetic.
Exploring different characters also allows learners to get to the heart of how feelings and emotions dictate behaviour, encouraging them to become more self-aware. As with all LAMDA examinations, the development of a clear speaking voice and good body language are an integral and positive product of the exams.
Learners who prepare themselves appropriately will develop:
1 Interpretative skills
2 Technical skills
3 Knowledge of the performance process.
